Mission:

To make Ossining a safe, thriving and supportive community in which to live, work and play. Our immediate goal is to reduce all forms of harmful substance abuse through community education, collaboration and the promotion of positive youth development.

Coalition History:

More than 30 people meet monthly to collaborate, plan, and share information.

2003 Formation of Ossining Communities That Care - CTC Model Collaborative efforts of the Ossining School District and the local Health Care Clinic

2004 Key Leadership Training of over 130 community members Board & Committee Formation

Membership:

Concerned Ossining citizens from many sectors including: law enforcement, local & county government, schools, healthcare, business, parents, youth-serving organizations, faith-based & civic groups, youth, and substance abuse prevention agencies.

Funding:

2003-2004 Community Support - "In Kind" Services and donations
2004 - $100,000 grant 1st year - Drug Free Communities Support Program under umbrella of SAMHSA/CSAP
2005 - $100,000 grant 1nd year - Drug Free Communities Support Program under umbrella of SAMHSA/CSAP
